Here are few tips for your traveling, and review based on my personal experience of vacation at the Dead Sea.
First of all let me tell you that temperature near the Dead Sea area is higher than average Israeli temperature on 10 degrees. So if you do not feel well at the heat, it is best to avoid going there in July and August.

Dead Sea area counts more than 15 hotels, each of the is located very close to the sea, and have recreation centers offering wide range of procedures based on the Dead Sea cosmetics. Let me tell you that hotels are very different from each other. If you ask me about recommendations, where NOT TO STAY, I would name you Royal Hotel Dead Sea. As you have probably experienced, not always star ranking is true and objective criteria of level of service, and this is a good example. During our 3-day stay at the hotel we because very disappointed in food and attitude of the staff. The food was tasteless and always the same, the buffet looked not neat, so by the 3rd day I totally lost appetite. Well, if you are trying to loose weight, probably it is an option, but still not the pleasant one About the staff – they didn’t seem attentive and understanding. Receptionists and housekeepers were always forgetting and disregarding our requests, and it was rather annoying.

You should definitely try Le Meridien David Dead Sea or Crowne Plaza Hotel Dead Sea – two best hotels of the Dead Sea.Le Meridien David Dead Sea is wonderful option for young couples, as well, as for families. All hotel’s guestrooms have all the conveniences expected in a hotel in its class to suit guests’ utmost comforts. Each of the hotel’s guestrooms offers air conditioning, bathrobes, desk, hair dryer, in room safe. I should say that the rooms are very spacious and nice indeed. To unwind, guests can enjoy the leisure facilities provided on the hotel’s property, including massage, pool indoor, jacuzzi, gym/fitness facilities, sauna, spa, pool outdoor. This hotel is characterized by a combination of modern comfort and traditional element of Ein Bokek, the area of the Dead Sea. What I liked in this hotel most – is the cuisine. Quality of food and restaurant service is very important while vacation at the Dead Sea – because you won’t have many other places to eat in. Surely, you can always have a quick snack at McDonald’s and Burger King, which are nearby, but nothing more than that. My rating of this hotel – is 5+.

Crowne Plaza is a perfect place also because of wonderful rooms and tasty food combined with excellent service. The rich breakfast menu includes a salad bar with various cheeses and breads. Lobby Carnival is the hotel’s dairy restaurant, serving an assortment of salads, sandwiches, toasts, pizza, ice cream, homemade cakes and a selection of hot, cold and alcoholic beverages. Crowne Plaza Dead Sea offers a kosher Asian fusion restaurant Sato Bistro – a culinary sensation of tempting dishes and amazing flavors. The large and luxurious spa offers a fitness room, a heated pool with saltwater from the Dead Sea, two Jacuzzis, two sulfur pools, wet and dry saunas and two pressure showers. A wide variety of treatments are provided at the Spa. The hotel’s entertainment staff offers a varied program of activities including shows, guest artists, games, workshops and more. Wireless High Speed Internet Access (WiFi) is available. 5+ as well.
